Yuriko KUDO (Ms.) is a patent attorney in the Design and Mechanical Sections specializing in design.
She earned a B.S. and M.S. in mineralogy from The University of Tokyo and a B.A. in art culture from the Musashino Art University.
After the graduation, she worked for a glass manufacturer, and during the same period, passed the Japanese Patent Bar Examination to become a registered patent attorney. Later, she joined Nakamura & Partners and in 2024 became a partner. She is a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association and served as a member of the Diversity Promotion Committee in 2023 and the D&I Promotion Committee in 2024. She is also a member of the Intellectual Property Association of Japan and the Japan Design and Law Association. She has published an article on the subject of similarity in designs in Patent (January 2021 Issue, Japan Patent Attorneys Association). Additionally, she has delivered lectures in a Japan-China Intellectual Property Exchange Meeting as well as meetings held by The Chartered Institute of Trade Mark Attorneys and Taiwan Patent Attorneys Association.
