Toru Watanabe (Mr.) is a patent attorney in the Mechanical Section with a focus on the patent prosecution and litigation as related to mechanical engineering and design. He is also a member of the Design Section where his main practices are design prosecution and litigation. He graduated from Sophia University earning an M.S. in engineering and shortly thereafter joined a machine manufacturing company where he worked as a development engineer. After moving on to join Nakamura & Partners, he passed the Japanese Patent Bar Examination. Mr. Watanabe is also a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association and Asian Patent Attorneys Association.
