Satsuki Ichikawa (Ms.) is a patent attorney in the Chemical & Biotechnology Section specializing in chemistry, medicinal chemistry, and biochemistry and the patent prosecution and litigation thereof. She graduated from the Keio University Faculty of Science and Industry Department of Applied Chemistry where she later went on to receive her Ph.D. Prior to joining Nakamura & Partners, she worked for both a pharmaceutical company research institute and a chemical research institute (judicial foundation), gaining extensive practical experience in her field of study. Ms. Ichikawa is a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association and has lectured on Japanese examination guidelines in the field of pharmaceuticals and patent extension term in Japan.
