Makoto Watanabe (Mr.) is a patent attorney in the Mechanical Section with a specialty in patent prosecution and litigation in the field of mechanical engineering and optics. He graduated from Nihon University earning a Ph.D. in engineering and thereafter worked for the same university in the Department of Mechanical Engineering. Later he joined Nakamura & Partners and went on to pass the Japanese Patent Bar Examination. Mr. Watanabe is also a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association.
