Nae Matsuda (Ms.) is a patent attorney in the Chemical and Biotechnology Section. Her practice includes patent prosecution, infringement opinion work, invalidation trials in the Patent Office and patent litigation in the courts. Ms. Matsuda counsels clients in diverse technologies including pharmaceuticals, petroleum chemistry, and organic chemistry. She is an active member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association and served in its Education Institute. Additionally, she has been invited to speak at the Japan Patent Attorneys Association as well as for clients on topics such as claim drafting, response to Office Actions, patent term extension, and European patent prosecution among others. Ms. Matsuda graduated from the Tokyo University of Science where she received a B.S. and M.S. in industrial chemistry.
