Under the Japanese Patent Law in 2020, a correction had to be filed by all co-owners.
In this case, the co-owner of the Patent was the appellant of an invalidation trial.
Naturally, the other co-owner who was the requester of the invalidation trial did not consent to correction.
The patentee was unable to make corrections and inventive step was denied.
