Profile Summary

Eri Koshishiba (Ms.) is a patent attorney in the Electronics & IT Section and Design Section specializing in information technology, computer technology, and design patent prosecution and litigation. She graduated from the Japan Women’s University Faculty of Sciences with a B.S. in mathematics, and went on to Tsukuba University where as a member of the Faculty of Management of Business Science she received her M.S. in computer technology and systems. Thereafter, she earned her LL.B. from the Faculty of Law at The University of Senshu. Upon graduation, she worked at a general electric company in the R&D Department gaining practical knowledge in her related fields of study, and later moved on to join Nakamura & Partners. Ms. Koshishiba is a member of the Japan Patent Attorneys Association where she has been active in both the Software Committee and the International Activity Center. Additionally, she has provided lectures on industrial property issues for the Japan Institute of Invention and Innovation.
